Making camping simple at night

I will be totally honest; camping can be incredibly difficult if you don't have the right set up. I know a lot of people that have gone camping a few times and never gone back, simply because a bit of bad weather and a poor set up made it an experience they don't want to go through again. I've learned over the years that you can be very comfortable camping if you take the time to set things up properly, and the lights that you use at night are a good place to start.
Nothing is worse than struggling at night to see what you are doing, or tripping over guy ropes because there isn't enough light! A setup for when you are camping no longer needs to be expensive or difficult to set up. With the technologies that exist today with inverters and LED lights, you can set yourself up with plenty of light without breaking the budget. One of the most popular way to light your campsite up if you have a four wheel drive around (or car battery) is simply to run an inverter off the battery and plug a set of LED or fluoro lights off a light stand. These use very limited energy and will allow for plenty of light for camping. It's the simple things like a quality , decent sleeping gear and a quality tent that make all the difference when you are camping.
Even better than using an inverter; you can get LED lights which you can mount on the sides and rear of your four wheel drive, which use as little as 0.3 amp hours. They can be run for hours on end before you even have to think about charging the battery up! These lights cost very little to purchase (litterally around $10 each) and you can run the wiring yourself with very limited skills.
Once you have the vehicle sorted out (and you can fit LED lights inside the vehicle or in canopies to give you even more light), you want something that is hand held and easy to walk around with. Gone are the days where you lugged a heavy Dolphin torch around - you can get a little LED light that is smaller than your hand and that will put out more light. Some of these torches are able to shine up to 800 metres in a straight line - the technology is simply incredible. Seriously, do yourself a favour and get onto these great products - they will make your life so much simpler when camping!
